Tour Itinerary of Madaba, Mt Nebo, Bethany Beyond the Jordan, Mukawer and Dead Sea Tour from Amman :
A Day of Pilgrimage & Relaxation: Madaba, Nebo, Mukawer, and the Dead Sea
Your driver will collect you from your hotel and drive to the charming town of Madaba, the "City of Mosaics." Here, you will visit St. George’s Church to admire the intricate 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land.
Next, the tour proceeds to Mount Nebo, the historic spot where Moses is said to have gazed upon the Promised Land. You will visit the ancient monastery ruins and enjoy breathtaking views over the Jordan Valley.
The journey continues to the rugged fortress of Mukawer (Machaerus), the dramatic hilltop prison-fortress where Herod Antipas held and eventually ordered the execution of St. John the Baptist.
