Do I have to have a visa to visit Jordan?

All visitors to Jordan are required to have a visa. The visa is granted upon arrival for guests from countries with no restrictions, or must be applied for in advance if you are from a restricted country. Exceptions apply for guests from restricted countries who are residents in the UAE. Please ask us for the latest information as the regulations are change regularly.

What are the costs for the Visa to Jordan?

Day trips or stays less than 2 nights : 40JD per person (approximately $60USD)

Stays of 2 or more consecutive nights with meet and assist service through a travel agency : Free Visa

Stays of 2 or more nights (no meet and assist) : 40JD per person (approximately $60USD)

Stays of 3 or more consecutive nights with Jordan Pass : Free

The visa has to be paid for in JOD. There are ATM’s and exchange offices at the borders and airports.

 

Can I get a visa on arrival if I’m an Indian national?

Indian nationals are no longer restricted and are granted a visa on arrival with the meet and assist service. We are able to provide you with a supporting letter to help the boarding process go smoothly for your incoming flight.

 

I’m transiting through Jordan for less than 24 hours, can I get a free Visa?

There is no free transit visa issued for Jordan. You will need to pay 40JD per person for the visa on arrival.

 

Can I get a visa on arrival if I’m from a restricted nationality but have a UAE residency?

The regulations for the visas on arrival for restricted nationalities with UAE residency change regularly. Please ask us for the latest information.

 

What is the Jordan Pass and should I purchase it?

The Jordan pass will save you money and time if you are staying in Jordan 3 or more consecutive nights and are visiting a number of sites. The Jordan pass includes entry to over 40 attractions in Jordan and the free visa if you purchase it before arrival to Jordan.

Do I have to pay the Jordan Departure Tax

Exit via land border crossing :

When you exit at one of the three land border crossings from Jordan into Israel you are required to pay the Jordanian departure tax.

The Jordanian Departure tax is 10JD or approximately $15USD per person at any of the three crossings.

Exit at Queen Alia International Airport (Amman) or King Hussein International Airport (Aqaba) :

The departure tax is included in your air ticket and there is nothing further to pay.
